What to make of Autistic Barbie?

Should we love her, hate her, resent her. Angry, sad, disappointed, disgusted. Or just plain confused how to feel about it all.

It appears there was over years worth of research and planning, and what they settled on is a short dress, flat shoes and ear defenders (plus a fidget spinner and comms pad, but I'm just plain ignoring those!).  

Representation absolutely matters and brownie points to Mattel for trying to be increasingly inclusive, whilst also keeping the lights on at Mattel HQ. I'm in the undecided and bemused camp.
