Finding Clarity in the
Complexity of
Mental Wellness
Hi, I'm Lindsie (she/her).
Here at Puzzling Minds Counselling, I believe that understanding yourself, your motivations or dreams are vital to finding what you want for yourself in the 'here and now', and for your tomorrow.
No matter what areas are feeling like a struggle right now, be it work or family, perimenopause, low mood, life goals, school or uni life. Even identity questioning, exploration or neurodivergence related challenges; they aren't just pieces of a riddle or puzzle to be solved—they are essential parts of who you are.
I will be there to support you as we try to solve the puzzles in your life... one piece at a time.
My Professional Background
Qualifications
BA (hons) degree in Humanistic Counselling from University of Chichester.
My personal and professional awareness and ability is important to me, as is my ethical counselling practice, whereby I provide skilled and bespoke counselling sessions to each and every client.
I therefore adhere to BACP criteria by having regular Clinical Supervision, which helps me assess my therapeutic work and helps to safeguard not only you - my clients, but also me.
I continue to regularly engage with learning opportunities, and continuing professional development training, in order to constantly refresh and develop my professional practice.

Experience
I have been lucky enough to have had many years experience and training working in a previous caring and support role. This included older and disabled people along with supporting people with various learning disabilities, including Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and complex needs to mention a few.
I credit this work with helping me to develop myself and ultimately become Counsellor! I am grateful for my connection with the wonderful clients.
That work was the beginning of my journey into understanding more about me, others and my future direction.
It is a privilege to be able to support others on the journey.
Journey
My Counselling career path has been driven by a commitment to creating inclusive, safe space to help people find mental wellness solutions that honour the individual complexities in life.

Over time I have developed a specialism in Autism and other neuro-divergences, through personal experiences and much more training.

I also have a specialism in working with young people and young adults. I am qualified to work from the age of 11 years and up. I am proud to be an impartial person in their life who does not have any personal goal for them, other than for them to find whatever they would wish to.
No matter how supportive the family may be, it can often feel safer talking to someone like me. We can then work together on feeling safe enough to share their thoughts, hopes and fears with other important adults in the life.
My Personal Approach
My philosophy is rooted in the belief that happiness and mental wellness is a personal ongoing journey of discovery, rather than a destination.
I utilise integrated, collaborative methods that combine evidence-based practices with a deeply empathetic, person-centred focus. By fostering a safe, non-judgmental environment, I will support you to try to unravel the complexities of life, love and the universe, hopefully to empower you to build confidence, self-compassion and sustainable coping strategies moving forward.
Personalized Guidance
Every mind is a unique puzzle. We work at your pace, focusing on strategies that align with your neurodivergent strengths and personal values.
Radical Self-Compassion
Move from judgment to understanding. Our approach fosters a deep sense of self-acceptance, helping you navigate identity with kindness.
Identity-First Support
We celebrate neurodivergence and LGBTQ+ identities. Your session is a safe sanctuary where your lived experience is fully honored and validated.
Sustainable Wellness
Our goal isn't just relief, but long-term clarity. We equip you with practical tools to advocate for yourself in an often overwhelming world.
